EllaOne is a pill for emergency contraception often called a morning-after pill. You can take it if you are worried that you might get pregnant from recent unprotected sex (e.g. if your condom tore or slipped off, or if you forgot to take your regular contraceptive pill on time).
To order EllaOne, fill in our brief questionnaire. Our online doctor will review your order and make sure that you can take the medication before we send it via post.
Prescription and delivery are included.
Price includes prescription and delivery.
EllaOne is an emergency contraceptive to be taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse to prevent pregnancy.
EllaOne contains Ulipristal Acetate which binds to the receptors that progesterone normally binds to. It therefore prevents progesterone from performing its function, which is to release eggs and prepare the lining of the womb for eggs.
You should not be using EllaOne regularly as a method of contraception. You should only use it in an emergency after unprotected sex. If used too frequently, it may disrupt your menstrual cycle. You should not use it more than once per menstrual cycle and generally avoid needing it by using other methods of contraception.
EllaOne is effective for longer e.g. up to 120 hours after sex, whereas Levonelle is effective only up to 72 hours after sex.
Since EllaOne is only an emergency treatment, it is slightly less effective than the ordinary contraceptive pills if they are taken correctly.
Most women can take EllaOne. You cannot take ellaOne if you are already pregnant. Women who are suffering from gastrointestinal and malabsorption problems need to inform their doctor of their condition, as the active ingredient in EllaOne might not be absorbed properly and treatment might thus remain ineffective. In these cases, having a coil fitted can be a more suitable option for emergency contraception (the coil needs to be fitted within 5 days of the intercourse). It is also important to mention previous ectopic pregnancies to your doctor, as well as any medication you are currently taking.
No, there are no interactions between EllaOne and any particular food.
Yes. There is no interaction between ellaOne and alcohol.
No. If EllaOne is suitable for you, you can buy the treatment from DrEd and we will send it to you.
The treatment is highly effective, but there is still a small chance that you could get pregnant. If you suspect that the treatment has not worked, take a pregnancy test or speak to your doctor as soon as possible. See your doctor as soon as possible if your period is more than five days late.
The tablets are round and white with “ella” on both sides.
Treatment is a single 30mg dose. There is only a 120 hour window in which you can take EllaOne to prevent pregnancy, and the sooner you take your tablet, the more effective the treatment will be. It is highly advisable that you take ellaOne within of 24 hours of intercourse, when it is most effective.
If you are taking a contraceptive pill, you can still take EllaOne. Just continue your normal contraception as usual and read the information in the patient leaflet. Please note, that ellaOne only prevents pregnancies resulting from recent intercourse - you need to continue using a contraceptive after you have taken the morning after pill.
If you vomit or have diarrhoea within 3 hours of taking the tablet, you need to take another. Talk to a doctor immediately.
One tablet contains 30 mg of Ulipristal Acetate, the active ingredient. The other ingredients are povidone K30, crosscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate (E572), and lactose monohydrate
If you are allergic to any of these ingredients, you should not take EllaOne.
Many of these symptoms should disappear within a few days. However, if they continue, you should consult your doctor immediately.
You must mention if you are breastfeeding.
It is recommended that you do NOT breastfeed for one week after taking ellaOne
ellaOne will not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery unless you experience the dizziness and faintness that up to one in ten women report.
This is the first time I have used this service. Website was easy to navigate and online questions very clear. prompt response and delivery of malaria tablets.
I cannot believe how easy it was to order, pay and then receive the goods. They kept me informed throughout. I wish all companies were this easy to deal with
I have been prescribed the same medication for over 4 years, yet I still have the hassle of taking valued time off work to visit my GP/local pharmacy for repeat prescriptions. This tedious exercise costs me a half day's annual leave for little more than a blood pressure reading and ironically, I own my own electronic blood pressure meter! DrEd.com - inexpensive, well packaged and prompt delivery.
Placed order one day delivered the next in discrete packaging, treatment worked as directed. Would use again and reccomed
A very good service very helpful with all my needs i would tell all my friends if they needed help
